The Real Estate Cafe helps our clients select a custom builder from our Custom Builders Consortium, all of which are members of the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA). This process is facilitated by the President of the Custom Builders Council (CBC) of the GHBA with whom the Cafe has built a long-term working relationship. The Real Estate Cafe will assist the client select a GHBA custom builder that has experience, dependability, integrity and knowledge.
During your consultation with Cafe personnel and your custom builder, we introduce the comprehensive process of building a custom home; land acquisition, land development, interior and exterior selection, allowances, contracts and the budget. Then our clients become part of the Construction Team throughout the building of their home. All of the custom builders in our consortium can use your architectural plans or work with your architect or they can design a home for you with our design team (Design Consultants). During our consultations we can show you some �in-house� plans that can be modified if desired. Before construction begins the Real Estate Cafe and the custom builder works hand-in-hand with our clients to find the perfect lot and analyze the site development costs. The biggest mistake made by clients building a custom home is buying an inappropriate lot that breaks the budget or that cannot be developed adequately to fill the highest and best use of the land AND meet the client�s needs. The Real Estate Cafe will also guide our clients through the financing process to purchase a lot, build the home, and provide a permanent loan and a one-time close at competitive prices through our in-house financing. The process of building a custom home can be daunting, but the Real Estate Cafe makes the process of building a custom home a wonderful journey of building dreams.
